Kernow Coatings, Falmouth, Cornwall is a specialist coater and laminator of film, special papers and fabrics. The company has 5 coating machines and a dedicated thermostabilising unit and other associated mixing areas. The company approached Soundguard Acoustics Ltd about noise control following a previous noise assessment by another consultancy. Once onsite our feeling was that the previous reported levels were too high and Soundguard Acoustics Ltd requested to repeated the survey. Our findings resulted in levels significantly lower levels then those reported and as a result the approaches to noise control and management was changed and Kernow Coatings significantly reduced the cost of its noise control.
